Fighting For a Cure

“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do”

– Eleanor Roosevelt

Every year, 8th and 9th grade students from all Central Bucks Middle schools come together to raise money for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life event. The students create teams and put on different events to raise funds. This year, on May 21st the teams, staff, survivors, and volunteers will come together to walk around the track for 12 hours.Screen Shot 2016-04-12 at 12.22.05 PM
During the event there will be a survivor walk to kick off the day, followed by a Fight Back Ceremony, where people speak about cancer.  The event ends with the Luminary Ceremony, where they light a candle in a bag with a loved ones name that will line the track.

During the month of April, Ambiance Design donates $10.00 for every window treatment, not job, but individual windows we sell. Last time we did Relay For Life, we were able to donate over $700.00 to help Fight for the Cure.

This event is a great way to help our community while making great connections.

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at a time of challenge and controversy.”    – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
